Columbia Political Union Civic Scholars Program

Calling New York City high school students: are you interested in learning more about civics and government? Do you want to are you interested in the opportunity to engage with Columbia University's resources and programs? Would you like to positively impact New York City, but are you not sure where to start?

,The Columbia Political Union’s Civic Scholars Program is a virtual civics education program for students at high schools across New York City. The goal of the Civic Scholars Program is to democratize access to key civic and political knowledge with local students, introduce them to Columbia faculty, resources, and opportunities, and motivate them to become involved in government, activism, and civics in their own communities.

The Spring 2022 Civic Scholars program will be run virtually and will be completely free-of-charge for all participating students. The program dates are March 8th, 2022 to April 19th, 2022. The program will meet on Tuesdays from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
